What is RoHS ? Established to reduce the risks to human health and the environment, the European Union's (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive limits the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE) in new electrical and electronic equipment starting July 1, 2006.
